BOE disclosed on Thursday evening that the company signed "Chengdu 6th generation LTPS / AMOLED production line project investment and cooperation agreement" with the Chengdu Municipal Government on October 23, the wholly owned subsidiary Chengdu BOE Optoelectronics Technology Co., Ltd. will serve this production line project as investment, construction and operation platform.
The total investment in the project is 22 billion Yuan, it sited on Chengdu Hi-tech Industrial Development Zone, and its design capacity would be 45 thousand pieces each month. The project will be started in the second quarter of 2015 and it’s expected to be put into operation in the second quarter of 2017.
BOE said that after the completion of Chengdu 6th generation LTPS / AMOLED production line project its competitiveness in small and medium-size high-end display technology will be further enhanced, which will help to increase the proportion of high-margin products and effectively enhance the ability to resist market volatility and risk.
